Behavioral Modification Program

Our Behavioral Modification Program is designed for dogs exhibiting severe or challenging behaviors that disrupt their well-being and your bond with them. This fully customized program focuses on addressing root causes and creating lasting behavioral change, fostering trust and harmony between you and your dog.

  • What is balanced dog training?
Balanced dog training is a holistic approach that combines positive reinforcement (like treats and praise) with clear, fair corrections when necessary. This method helps dogs understand what behaviors are desired while maintaining a trusting relationship with their owner. It focuses on consistency, patience, and respect, ensuring that dogs learn in a way that is both effective and kind.
  • How long does training take?
Training varies based on your dog’s personality, learning pace, and how consistently training is practiced at home. While some dogs pick up new skills quickly, others may need more time and reinforcement. We focus on steady progress tailored to your dog’s specific needs.
  • When should I start training my dog?
Training can begin as soon as you’re ready! With puppies, it’s great to start early (as young as 8 weeks) with basics like crate training, name recognition, and basic commands. However, it’s never too late to start working on new skills or behavior changes. At Ohana, we’re here to guide you and your dog, no matter where you’re starting from. Training is about building a strong bond and trust, and we’ll be there for you every step of the way.
  • Do you work with all breeds?
Yes! We welcome dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. Whether your dog is playful, reactive, or has more complex behavior challenges like aggression, we’re equipped to work with them. Every dog is unique, and we tailor our approach to suit their specific needs.
